About Us

A lil’ bit about us!

Some more details are down below, but before you go let me give you a quick overview!

Let’s Go to Space, Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit organization for educational outreach and space research. The company was founded by me (Warren) back in 2019 while I was a student at Georgia Tech, studying aerospace engineering. I still keep at it today, because there’s nothing like seeing kids – and sometimes teachers – get stoked about science and space. I love hearing teachers tell me about the lasting effects of visiting their class, some even send me art or photos of space-related work they’ve been doing since we met.

LG2S has become more than I ever imagined: I’ve been able to talk to classes, camps, and lecture halls across the entire world, and we’re even building a satellite to beam memes from space.

I like to be super transparent and communicative about what we do at Let’s Go to Space, Inc., so I’ve included some info and links below that will help you better understand and trust that we’re a real entity.

Is MEMESat-1 Real?

Boy oh boy, you better believe it’s real. MEMESat-1 is the idea that started Let’s Go to Space, back in 2019! MEMESat-1 is currently being built by an amazing group of students at the University Georgia and has received its official radio frequency allocation from the International Amateur Radio Union. We’re planning to launch as soon as Oct 2023. Sign up for our newsletter to stay up to date as we get closer to launch!

Partners

We’ve been fortunate enough to garner the support of some great organizations! Let’s Go to Space has formal letters of support for our programs from multiple NASA centers, we’ve received grants from the Georgia Space Grant, and we work closely with the University of Georgia SmallSat Research Lab.

Besides our official partners, we’ve received some great help from space-industry players like Blue Canyon Technologies, Lockheed-Martin, and MAXAR.

Our Mentors for the Meme Across America

Warren Eshpeter

Warren is an Aerospace Engineer at Blue Canyon Technologies where he works on satellites that range in size from smaller than a loaf of bread, to as big as a car! Warren was raised in Atlanta, GA and currently resides in Boulder, CO where he enjoys biking, running, and climbing. Warren started LG2S when in university (fall 2019), and still runs it day-to-day – visiting classrooms, mentoring university students, and coordinating with industry partners to help teach students more about space, science, and working in the industry!

If you have any questions for Warren, shoot him an email at warren@letsgo2space.com

Josh Rymer

Josh is a Software Engineer at MAXAR, where he writes programs and tools for a bunch of different customers. Josh was raised in Richmond, VA and also currently lives in Boulder, CO where he bikes and climbs (more than Warren). As an officer, Josh helps run LG2S outreach and operations – like our classroom visits, maintaining the website, and more!
